Managed Diana, and worked alongside her as a designer

I've had the pleasure of working with Diana both as her manager and as a fellow designer, and she's genuinely one of those people who makes a team better.

Diana is a very strong product designer, but what stands out to me is everything she brings beyond the role itself. She has a great product instinct, thinks deeply about the "why" behind a problem, and is equally comfortable zooming into the details or stepping back to look at the bigger picture. She's also someone you can give a complex, ambiguous problem to and trust her to take it forward with very little direction.

What I particularly value about Diana is her curiosity and willingness to experiment. She was one of the early people on our team to really start exploring how AI could change the way we work, and more importantly, she brought others along with her and inspired the team to experiment too. She has that natural curiosity that makes her look beyond what's immediately in front of her.

Her impact also extends well beyond her day-to-day projects. She was one of the key people behind building and improving our customer feedback loop system, creating something that helped the wider team better understand and prioritise customer pain points. It's these kinds of initiatives that really show her ability to spot opportunities and turn them into something useful for the organisation.

As her manager, I've really appreciated the ownership she takes and the high bar she sets for her work. As a fellow designer, I've also genuinely enjoyed having her as a sparring partner — she brings thoughtful perspectives, challenges assumptions and makes the work better.

Diana is smart, curious, pragmatic and someone who genuinely cares about making a difference. I've really enjoyed working with her and would happily recommend her to any team looking for a designer who can contribute far beyond the boundaries of her role.
